Mark Schwartz Violins serves mid-Michigan with instrument rentals, sales, repair and restoration services, and accessories, in a convenient location just off of I-475 in Flint. Follow the links above for more information about our services.

Mark's area of expertise includes all instruments of the violin family: violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Many violin shops hesitate to work on basses, but Mark welcomes this special work. He apprenticed from 1972-1973 with the violin maker Paul Schuback. Since that time he has worked on instruments in Ann Arbor, Interlochen Arts Camp, and his home town of Flint.

Mark has 36 years of experience working on stringed instruments, but he has even more experience as a musician. He has a B.A. from the University of Michigan in double bass performance and has played in many orchestras including the Flint Youth Symphony and the Flint Symphony Orchestra. As a seasoned musician, Mark has a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of musicians and their teachers.
